NEW! Week long Soulground Vision Quest
The invitation of a Vision Quest is to dive into the five stages
of the Hero's Journey: Preparation, Severance, Initiation to the
World of the Sacred (two days of solo time), Reincorporation and
Implementation.
Encountering Soul in the Sacred Earth Have you found yourself increasingly estranged from a purposeful, engaged, soul-oriented life? Are you in grief at a planet gasping for breath? Do you ache at the loss of connection to the natural world and the sensuous wonder of a green, living Earth? What if as human beings we are an expression of the larger organism we call planet – perhaps even an expression of her imagination, her intention and her dreams? Could it be that our psyche is inextricably linked to the soul of the planet? Could it be that our relationship to the Earth is a love affair waiting to happen?
Should you decide to take this plunge into your own soul journey you will find yourself immersed in splendid isolation from the routines of daily life, while you slowly let the barriers that keep you from knowing yourself to be one with the Earth drop away. You will learn again to dialogue with nature using your own innate capacity to communicate with the landscape and her inhabitants. Through solo time, conscious eating/fasting, trance drumming, working with symbols, art, poetry, body movement and ceremony you will revive the love language that once we knew. As William Stafford has written, “The world speaks everything to us”. And in learning to listen again to the message she speaks, our capacity to become more fully human grows. We become more rooted in our belief that we have a right to be here. Our hearts expand with compassion for ourselves, each other and the planet. We learn to understand our own stories weaved in among the ageless stories of the Earth. And finally we come to understand the synergistic relationship we have to a vulnerable planet that now, more than ever, needs us as much as we need her.
Full attendance from 7 pm on the start date until 3 pm on the final date is necessary to attend this program. Registration is limited to 7 participants per session - so announce your intention to attend early! We will arrange carpooling transportation to the park.

There are no refunds once the trip has started. For those new to Soulground please arrange an individual session ($45) which will help you decide if this kind of intensive is right for you at this time. This is the first year that I will be offering a full 7 day Vision
Quest. Many of you have told me that you are interested in participating
in a traditional Vision Quest - an underworld journey that will
take you to the edges of your awareness, the depth of your soul’s
longing and the breath of your ability to stand in your own knowing. 
My own training and readiness is now at a point where I can (in
the words of Oriah Mountain Dreamer), "stand at the edge of
the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, 'Yes!' ".
If you wish to register I will send you an extensive application
form. This will help me to discern your readiness for the more
arduous physical and emotional challenges of a Vision Quest. This
trek will call you to a new level of courage - both physical and
soul transforming. Your safety is paramount. And your willingness
to be both fiercely and compassionately guided will influence the
depth of your experience. How you answer the questions will help
me to plan a journey tailored to you and your soul's longing.
I
have set a limit of 8 participants. Cost will be $780 + GST, plus
shared gas expenses for travel. This will include meals while on
site plus two nights accommodation at a lodge on the first and
final nights of the trip. Feel free to contact me to ask any questions.

We will travel north to the remote shores of Georgian Bay camping
on Cape Croker on the Bruce Peninsula. 
Each summer Grace
leads groups of intrepid soul seekers on guided sojourns in pursuit
of the answers to these questions. She expertly
guides you into a world of imagination, soul tasks, ceremony and
communication with nature in Ontario’s northern parks. These
wilderness intensives create the ideal setting to court the Beloved
as s/he appears clothed in the shimmering greens of the forest,
in the impulsive shifts of wind-caressed grasses, in the haunting
cries of the loon and the sly dartings of squirrel and wren.
The intensives are not camping
holidays, although we do set up backpacking tents in the park’s
interior sites. No previous experience with camping is necessary.
You will receive all the
support necessary to embark on the journey to both the inner and
outer landscape, including a detailed packing list. Grace is a
trained Vision Quest Guide, a registered nurse and certified in
Wilderness First Aid. One or more guide apprentices are available
for additional support and guidance. All meals are provided with
special dietary needs taken into consideration. The trip into base
camp involves gentle to moderate hiking and you must be able to
carry a backpack of up to 16 kilos (35 pounds).
